Essential Info
It is with sincere gratitude that we thank you for considering Shangri-La’s Tattoo Emporium for your next piece. Please carefully read the essential information below before requesting a consultation.
Each item explains how the studio works to guarantee its clients with the best possible tattoo(s).
We do not accept walk-ins. Our artists only consult with and tattoo those that have completed the consultation process.
We respectfully do not accept this type of work. Each tattoo project that we take on must be strategically thought out from start to finish to guarantee the entire design is cohesive in style and in body-part placement.
Because of our focus on style and technique, we do not offer large body part work such as sleeves, back pieces, etc. Each piece we do is considered stand-alone.
You must be at least 18 years of age. We do not tattoo minors.
Optimal skin conditions are paramount in a successfully executed tattoo. We will walk you through placement and design to help you receive the best possible tattoo.
To maintain the proper working environment, we ask that only the client be present for both the consultation and the appointment itself. This means no children, friends, or family can attend.
A 48 hour notice is required to reschedule your appointment. This allows us adequate time to fill your slot. Failure to do so will result in the loss of your deposit for that appointment. With that said, we understand that emergencies arise. We simply ask that you treat your tattoo with the same diligence you would expect from your artist.
- Ensure to get a good nights rest. Nothing makes a tattoo less pleasurable than a hangover or fatigue.
- It’s necessary to eat a good meal 1 to 2 hours prior to your appointment to avoid low blood sugar.
- Please remember good hygiene is key to preventing infection when wounds and skin irritation are present.
- If you enjoy listening to your own music, please feel free to bring your headphones. We won’t be offended.
- Bring a drink to stay hydrated. Please make sure it’s covered or in a resealable container.
- Please wear clothing that allows access to the area to be tattooed. We greatly appreciate as much modesty as possible.
- Finally, begin caring for the area to be tattooed with a premium moisturizer. Not only will this optimize the outcome of your tattoo, but instils in you the habits necessary to care for it through its healing and keep it looking beautiful for years to come!
Instruction will vary depending on the type of covering you’ve been provided upon the completion of your tattoo session. Please read carefully and follow the instructions specific to your covering. Understand the quality of the care you give your tattoo throughout its healing will directly effect how it looks once healed. Also remember that uv quickly damages tattoos causing fading and migration.
